Bike Camp (7-18 years) Tues/Thurs 8-8:55

Geared toward children who are riding a bike with training wheels, but have had a difficult time transitioning onto 2 wheels. Foundational skills such as balance, motor planning, sequencing, coordination, endurance and strength will be facilitated by 2 PT's. Camp participants will be provided with opportunity & guidance to interact with peers. Must bring own bike and helmet to each day of camp. Max of 6 campers.

Dates: 6/6, 6/8, 6/13, 6/15, 6/20, 6/22

"Adulting" 101 for Teens (12-18 years) Wed 6-7PM

This camp, led by 2 occupational therapists, will focus on IADL skills which are the next step after independence with basic self care skills. Camp will target concepts such as smart tech use, internet safety, planning a meal, initiating and making plans, money management and more. Will run concurrently with our new Empowered Parent group which will be covering similar topics from the parent side. *Families have the option of enrolling in both groups at a discounted price, or enrolling as a teen only.

This group aims to provide tools and resources to allow you to facilitate continued growth and independence for your child as they prepare for the challenges of being a teenager or young adult. Meetings will be led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and trained facilitator in specific areas selected to provide useful information and resources in the areas of: Care Mapping, safe use of technology, job training, and community engagement. Group is scheduled to meet concurrently with (“Adulting” 101 for Teens). Families have the option of enrolling in both groups at a discounted price.

This camp targets social pragmatic language skills that your child needs for full participation in peer interaction. Each day begins with an icebreaker targeting independent initiation and conversation skills. Campers will participate in activities building conversational exchange, making and keeping friends, problem solving, and perspective taking. Each interactive learning task will be followed by an opportunity for practice through games, role play, or craft activities. Campers will explore a variety of problem solving scenarios, while incorporating social-pragmatic language through interaction and sharing with peers. The group will be facilitated by licensed speech-language pathologists.

This camp targets sensory processing and executive functioning skills through fun cooking activities. Your child will engage in a guided cooking activity alongside their peers and learn valuable skills in the kitchen environment. Sessions will target important skills they use every day, including sequencing, following directions, attention, and kitchen safety, as well as provide sensory experiences and opportunities for social engagement. Group will be facilitated by two occupational therapists. Come cook with us!
